Noong una inaaya akong nga mga kabarkada ko na manood ng Twilight dahil maganda raw kasi pero pihikan din ako pagdating sa movie. Ayaw ko kasi ng mga chessy and tacky shows (gurlalu kung baga). Pero noong pumunta ako kila Aljun, nakita ko silang nanonood nito at nakinood na rin. I realized that it is truly romantic and quixotic in nature – about vampires. The story revolves about Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, be keen on each other ,and to make the story more exciting -  append the words ‘clan wars’ and ‘lycan’ (Reminds me of Underworld eh?). Actually, the movie is based on the novel written by Stephenie Meyer (which I heard facing a legal predicament). It is the first of the four novels and yeah – popular by youngster like me (Meron akong mga kabarkada na adik dito by listening the whole story in MP3 format, read the whole text in cellphone, etc.).

Monday, orientation day for Medicine Ward. Birthday noon ng kapatid kong si Joyda Lim kaya may planong mag gigs after duty. Hindi namin inaasahan na di matutuloy ang gigs dahil gusto ng headnurse na may mag stright 16 hours! Nag sacrifice sila Jayson at Ads. Kami ni Jess, Iris, Joseph, Apple and Yushelle ang tumuloy, hindi na sumama noon si Joy sa amin. At ayun, nag WOW-inuman session trip nanaman! Naka 3 out of 4 muchos lang ako, may pasok pa kasi ako ng 6 am kinabukasan sa ospital!

Pumunta kami (Ako, Klok, Jan, Pilar, Mama, Tito Jing, Tito Aling, Tita Vita, Nino, Lovely, Nina Jane, Ara, Marlon, Matthew, Alvin, Justin, Aljun at Ata) sa Pola, Oriental Mindoro! Using van, nag door to door kami from our house, papuntang Batangas Pier, sumakay sa Montenegro Lines, baba ng Calapan City, diretso sa bayan ng Pola, at nag bangka papuntang Buhay na Tubig!

Pagdating sa Buhay na Tubig, umakyat kami sa bundok. Narating namin ang bahay ni Tito Reuben. Nag pabasa kami doon, kumain ng mala-putaheng favorites (Calderetang kambing with cheeze, Dinuguang baboy, Chicharong bulaklak, Sampaini, Papaitan). Nag session kami nila Alvin, Ata, Aljun sa terrace with Gran Ma (’yung pabilog), at hits of limited edition of Mild Seven. Napansin kong kakaiba ang brand ng mga yosi dito sa bundok (Bingo, Ray), marahil galing abroad.

Pabasa session

Kinabukasan, natapos na rin ang pabasa. Nagpa ukay-ukay, kumain at bumaba na ng bundok. Tumuloy naman kami sa bahay nila Tito Cezar. Tumambay sa batuhang pampang at naglaro sila Klok ng basketball, panalo sa una, talo sa pangalawa. Lumangoy na rin kami sa dagat at nagbanlaw sa ilog. Nag session nanaman ulit kami nila Aljun, another Gran Ma at Carlos I. Habang may alocohol na sa utak namin, tumuloy pa kami sa bahay nila Biyen at tinuloy ang inuman sa tabing dagat.

Pagkagising namin, bumalik kami kila Tito Cezar. nag mega swimming na talaga sa dagat. Nakakuha kami ng iba’t ibang sea creatures (paitan, sea cucumber, sea urchin, starfishes). Kumain kami sa tabing dagat ng pinitpit at banaghoy. After, nag bangka kami papuntang laot, sumisid sila ng 20 feet! Next stop naman ay kila Tito Awe, at siyempre, inuman session.

Next stop naman ay kila Tito Awe, meron kaming kinain sa bahay na malaking paitan (hindi ko alam kung ano tawag doon) at yung sigay, hindi ko alam kung paano talaga kainin ‘yun! Siyempre, may inuman session ulit!

Kinabukasan, nag impake na kami para bumalik na sa Manila, nag stop over muna sa cottage sa Pola bayan. Nagpa picture din kami sa mga Moriones! Sumama sila Dovelyn, Angie at Rose Ann!

Isa sa pinaka ‘toxic’ na area, ER!

Since under renovation ang dating ER, pansamantalang nilipat ito sa lobby ng QCGH (Medicine, Pedia at Geria) at sa entrance (Surgery). Yup, isa ang ER sa pinaka ‘toxic’, bawat oras (at bawat minuto) kasi ay may naa-admit na patient - either buhay or DOA (Dead on arrival) na. Walang shift akong pinasukan na walang namamatay na patient - karamihan ng tinatakbo ay my diagnosis na myocardial infarction (MI) with ECG findings: VTach and VFib. After a series of CPR, epinephrine, Atropine SO4 and Dopamine - mahirap talaga mag-save ng life. Si Ma’am Violy and head namin dito. Tumapat din ang Holy Week sa 2nd week namin dito so naparami ang day off namin and pumunta pa sa Pola, Oriental Mindoro. May araw na halos sinugod na ng NBI and BJMP ang ER dahil may sinugod na member ng Abu Sayaff! Sorry, hindi ko pwede sabihin sa blog na ito kung anong nangyari sa kanya.

Ang customize cotton balls container. Ginawa ito ni Ads mula sa apat na IVF bottles, 1 for dry cotton balls, 1 for cotton balls with 70% alcohol, 1 for cotton balls with povidone iodine, and 1 for the cover.

Kwento ni Chun Li that is played by my crush, Kristin Kreuk! At first, makikitang tinuruan si Chun Li ng kanyang erpats na si Xiang  ng Wushu. But one night, they were attacked by Bison and forcing Xiang to surrender. After a few years, hinanap ni Chun Li si Gen at tinuruan siya nitong gumamit ng iba’t ibang moves and powers para matalo si Bison and his henchmen, Vega (played by Black Eyed Peas member Taboo) and Balrog. Nasa eksena din sina Nash at Maya.

Noong last week pa birthday ni Mike, pero after ng orientation day namin sa ER (Emergency Room), pumunta kaming Group 8 sa bahay ni Jess sa Bulacan.

From QCGH via NLEX, narating namin ang bahay ni Jess sa Bulacan. Hindi kasama noon si Sam. Kumain kami ng handa nila Mike, Jess and Jayson (Baked  Macaroni, Brownies, Cookies, Chocolate Shakes). Naglaro din ng Ping Pong sa labas (hanggang ganyon hirap pa rin ako maglaro nito!). Nag WOW videoke rin (nakakuha ako ng 100 na score! Yahoo!). Then tumira ng Red Horse. Too bad I messed out (Hehehehe!). My duty pa ako ng 6 AM sa ER kinabukasan. Pero OK lang, sulit ang araw na iyon! ^_^

-Pumunta ako kila Dex, nag guitar session at nagpaturo ng chords ng “Di Na Maibabalik”. Wow, na-reset utak ko sa pagtugtog ng gitara! (Sira na kasi gitara ko sa bahay, puro piano na lang tuloy). After, nag net sa Road 20, natapos namin ang Hangaroo For Nurses!

Minsan, nagiging ‘nerd’ tayo sa buhay. Eeewww…

Ano ibig sabihin ng CSR? Central Supply Room!

One week din kami dito, with Ma’am Prsecy as the head nurse. Dito kami pinapagawa ng millions of 4×4 gauze (yep, that thang na ginagamit sa dressings), cotton balls, tounge depressor, etc. Tuwing umaga para itong lobby kasi lahat ata ng empleyado ng ospital ay pumupunta dito (at may dalang chismis). Sabi nga ni Ma’am Lulu, wala silang kasalanan dahil ang pumapasok ang nagke kwento ng chismis. Hay puro chismis na ang nasabi ko! Bwichet! Tuturuan ko na alng kayo gumawa ng 4×4 gauze. Here’s the steps:

Tupiin ang dalawang side papuntang gitna

Tupiin from top to upper bottom (Na gets mo? Ako hinde!)

Ipasok ang excess side sa parang pocket - at tapos na! Theres your 4×4 gauze!

Konti lang naman ginagaw naming 4×4 gauze araw araw, isang punong sako lang naman!

Another Disney movie! During the opening credits, makikita ang mga news about UFO sightings around the world (kaya ko natanong kung ano ang Project Blue Book). Si Jack Bruno (The Rock, yeah!) ay isang cab driver sa Las Vegas. Isang araw, sumakay ang dalawang bata - si Sara at Seth sa taxi niya. They tell Jack they need to go to a certain destination and are willing to pay all they have ($15,000) to get there. Pero may mga harang na epal - mga pulis at ‘yung metallic na alien. Eventually napagana ng mga bata ang UFO nila na tinago sa isang center.

Hati pa rin ang Group 8 (parehong pareho talaga - weird!) - kalahati sa Payward, kalahati sa CSR.

Located at 2nd floor of QCGH, nasa gitna mismo ito ng building (’yung may terrace). Si General ang head nurse dito. Hindi naman masyadong mahirap ang work dito dahil hindi toxic ang mga patient, medyo maarte nga lang sila hehehe. Isa sa mga masasabi ko - sooobrang ingay ng mga pusa (yes, cats!) dito lalo na ‘pag gabi.

Pumunta kami ni Khat sa birthday ni Dex sa bahay nila! Kasama namin ang mga ka-group niya sa OLFU. Kainan, videoke and a shot of light. Saya ng araw na ito!

Sinabi ni Phelics na magandang panooring ang Slumdog’s Millionaire kaya bumili ako ng DVD nito sa Monumento. Tinaguriang ”the feel good film of the decade”, kwento ito ni Jamal Malik, dating street child sa India.  Mapapansing puro flashbacks ang movie which tell the story of young Jamal how he survive from Juhu slums. Sumali siya sa sikat na game show (Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?) at nanalo ng 20 million rupees! On 22 February 2009 the film won eight out of ten Academy Awards it was nominated for, including the Best Picture and Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Sound Mixing, Best Film Editing, Best Original Score, and Best Original Song (two songs were nominated from the film; “Jai Ho” won the award), losing only Best Sound Editing to The Dark Knight. It is only the eighth film ever to win eight Academy Awards and the eleventh Best Picture Oscar winner without a single acting nomination. Ang tanong, sa dami ng awards na ito eh bakit hindi pa ito naipapalabas dito sa Philippines cinemas? Hmmmm
