Sinabi ng dati kong classmate na si Brian na merong Tetralogy of Fallot ang kanyang anak na babae na si Milo. Nag-usap kami habang nasa tindahan sa kabila ako at karga niya sa Milo. Milo is 8 years old female, grade 3, pero dahil sa present ng kanyang sakit, mukha siyang 2-3 years old.

Definition
Isa itong congenital heart disease na under ng cyanotic heart defects. It occurs 10% of children with congental heart diseases at common ang mga boys dito. Apat (tetra) ang  anomalies nito: pulmonary stenosis, ventricular septal defect, overriding or dextroposition of aorta & right ventricular hypertrophy.

Etiology
Hereditary, exposure to rubella virus & failure of structure to
progress ang mga causes kung bakit nagkakaroon nito.

Clinical manifestation
Right ventricular hypertrophy, high degree cyanosis, polycythemia (mataas ang RBC), severe dyspnea, growth retardation, tet spell or blue (episode of hypoxia), syncope, clubbing of fingernails (d/t chronic tissue hypoxia), mental retardation, x-ray reveals boot-shaped heart

Management
-Oxygen therapy
-No valsalva maneuver (fiber diet, laxative)
-Morphine sulfate - for pain
-Propranolol (Inderal) - decrese heart spasm
-Palliative repair that includes Blalock-Taussig procedure (parang gagawa ng ductus arteriosus to oxygenate the blood. Dahil subclavian artery ang ginamit, walang pulse sa right arm ng bata after the procedure.) and Brock procedure (relieves of pulmonary stenosis, VSD and overriding of aorta)

-Merong Congenital heart disease (Tetralogy of Fallot) ang anak ni Brian Cantago (classmate ko dati nung elementary sa ASES) na si Milo..

-Synchronized meeting held at barangay hall

-Na-format ulit ang PC, may naririnig akong ‘tick’ sa hard drive. Bad sector ba iyon??

First birthday ng inaanak kong si Mathew Andrei kay Ara sa Fairview. Actually Oct. 23 ang birthday niya (kasabay nila Dida, Tita Neth & Biyen), inurong lang ng sabado para walang pasok. Sagot ko ang mga assorted color balloonies! Natawa ako sa mga clowns, kahit lagi-lagi ko sila nakikita sa shows, hindi pa rin panis ang mga patawa nila hehe. Nandoon din ang iba pa niyang ninong at ninang, pati sila Marie and Mik Mik.

Pumunta ako sa CD-R King Ever para bumili ng sound card. Nasira kasi ang audio port ko (for speaker) kaya bibili ng sound card (PCI) at ikakabit sa mother board para magkaroon ng bagong audio port sa PC at magamit yung speakers sa bahay. Tinanong nila ako, “Yung PCI o USB ?” Nagulat ako na meron na palang USB sound card. Para siyang portable USB hard disk, yung nga lang meron siyang both audio at microphone port. It also features Plug & Play so no need to install drivers unlike other PCI’s. It has 2CH speakers and supports 3D positional sound and virtual 5.1CH sound track. Meron din itong digital class-B power amplifier sa loob ng USB. Mababa rin ang price nito compare sa PCI. So eto, enjoying videos and musics again on mah PC..

Nakilala ko si Ate Norma, isang Physical Therapist (Shiatsu expert). We enjoy a Delifrance meal! Kita kits kami sa McDo Philcoa. Kinuha namin ang certificate at ID ng Philippine National Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Training. Diretso kami sa Philippine Hear Center dahil nag inquire si Jo sa HEART Foundation (sa rooftop!). Then sa V. Luna General Hospital. Nagpa sked kami ng qualifying exam namin ni Faye at Jo sa November 5, 2008, 10-12:00 pm. Passers will undergo clinical exam and interview. Those who will make it to the top will have a special hospital training (RN Residency) for 6 months free of charge - Tamawow!

Nagpa member na ako sa Critical Care Nurses Association of the Philippines (CCNAPI). Binigyan nila ako ng membership card in no time (parang print lang ah?). My plan is to attend their ECG and ACLS workshop and avail discounts.

V. Luna General Hospital

Pumunta kami ni Faye sa V. Luna (AFP) General Hospital para mag inquire about sa IVT training nila. Sabi nung babaeng nakausap namin sa Nursing Division, sa 2nd week of October pa daw sila maglalabas ng sked. Nakita ko yung marching ng mga koopa troops… aztig. Nandun pala ang base ng Military Nurse Association of the Philippines (MNAP).

Nag jeep kami papuntang PHC. Nagpa ako member sa Critical Care Nurses Association of the Philippines (CCNAPI). Pumunta kami sa Sacred Spaces Photography Exhibit. Talagang artsy bitsy ang mga kuha nila O.P Monzon, J.M Obaldo at E.O. Valdez.

Stop over kami dito. Pagpasok namin sa main hall… Tamawow! Parang siyang Trinoma Activity Center, hahaha! Hindi ko akalain na maganda pala ang NKTI.. We saw a big piece of art entitled DNA Fusion Metal Sculpture na gawa ni Jonnel Castrillo. Tamawow! Nagandahan ako dun! After Kumain kami sa canteen nila, parang Food Court lang ng SM!

Lung Center of the Philippines

Kapitbahay lang ito ng NKTI kaya mabilis kami nakapunta. Tiningnan namin ang bulettin board sa Nursing Training  Office. Suwerte ang mga staff kasi my dorm, gym at dining area sila. Nakit namin ang exhibit ng history ng LCP, if you look its building pala from top, hugis baga siya. (Hmmm.. bakit kaya?). Oo nga pala, nanghina ako kasi nandoon ang malalaking kyrptonyte!

Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife

Papunta sana kami sa Philippine Children’s Medical Center pero bakit nga ba kami napadpad dito? Ewan ko ba.. Nakita namin ang malaking lagoon! Meron doon Fishing Village (pero no fishing.. kulet!).

-Pumunta ako sa BayanTel para mag-aaply sa Bayan DSL, si Ricky ang nag asikaso.

-Sinamahan ko si Mama Che sa Capitol Medical Center para sa kanyang physical therapy

-Naka 100,000+ ang score ko sa Text Twist! Addictus..

-Na print ko na ang certificate namin sa seminar sa FEU Auditorium at pinpirma na kay Dean Borromeo
